OFF The Rack Volume IV

Lights Camera Action! The models hit the runway like seasoned pros as we kicked off Fashion 2010, our 2nd annual Fundraiser Fashion Show! Mary Lynn Woods played music as our guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres created by T&M BBQ Catering. "The food is fabulous" gushed one attendee! Indeed it was - chicken wrapped in bacon, pinwheels, shrimp cocktail and desserts - what a spread!

The clothes were gorgeous! Coats, dresses, suits and sportswear of every style and colour. Especially popular was a sexy black jumpsuit from Frank Lyman and the Modea Safari sportswear. The Sandwich grouping was a huge hit, as was the vibrant Jeanne Pierre. The younger models rocked in Tribal, Esprit and Billabong and our own Vicky and Ian stole the show with their wacky improvised outfits.

We raised $1630 in total and would like to thank all of our guests for their support. A big thank you to all the businesses who donated door prizes - Knar Jewellers, Shepherd’s Watch, The Plumber's Wife, Roxanne’s Antiques, eclectica, Nicki at CruiseShipCenter, The Power Pages, Escape Wellness Spa, IF Footwear, Koret and Simon Chang - for their generosity and community spirit. A big hug to Brenda, Charlene and the rest of the Mary Kay ladies. A special thank you to Joel of IF Footwear for lending us some fabulous shoes. Ditto Fred and Deb Roy of T&M BBQ Catering of Palmerston. Their reasonable rates enabled us to donate all the proceeds from the ticket sales and raffles to the nutrition programs at St John Catholic School and Arthur Public School. Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers. We couldn't have pulled it off without you!
